Stephen Glover Says DEADPOOL TV Series Was Killed By a Script Involving Taylor Swift

In a tweet that has since been deleted Stephen Glover, the producer and brother of Donald Glover says their idea for an episode of the Deadpool animated series that featured the singer Taylor Swift is was what brought an end to the planned show.

It was reported that Donald Glover and his brother Stephen Glover were dumped by Marvel and FX  over creative differences. But now Stephen is revealing more details about their departure from the show.  The Wrap reports that the episode about Taylor Swift was the “last straw” for the project, which was then taken out of the brothers’ hands.

“There really was a Taylor Swift episode. It was HILARIOUS. And it definitely was the last straw lol. Our show wasn’t too black. It wasn’t really that black at all. But we definitely wanted to give ‘Rick and Morty’ a run for their money and I think we would have. Proud of the gang.”

Stephen's comments come after a series of tweets from Donald that have since been deleted where said he wasn’t too busy to work on Deadpool even though some accused him of being busy. Donald then tweeted page after page of a deeply meta script that he wrote, which finds the Deadpool character asking out loud why his animated TV series got scrapped.
