Stephen King May Not Care For Superhero Movies, But He Loved THE FLASH! Here's His Reaction
The hype continues to build for DC Studios’ upcoming movie The Flash with Stephen King sharing his reaction to the movie. King may not care for superhero movies, but he had nothing but glowing praise for The Flash. The horror author shared on Twitter:
“I got an advance screening of THE FLASH today. As a rule I don’t care a lot for superhero movies, but this one is special. It’s heartfelt, funny, and eye-popping. I loved it.”
That’s pretty cool to hear from the master of horror! Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav said earlier this year that he also “loved” the film and James Gunn called it “one of the greatest superhero movies ever made — a masterpiece.” Tom Cruise loved it so much that he “cold-called” the movie’s director “to rave about it.”
Almost everyone who has seen The Flash has loved it… including myself. I can honestly tell you that the hype is real! This movie 100% delivers something special and by the end of the film, DC fans are going to be shedding tears of joy. You might be thinking… “Really!? How is that even possible?” Well, I could tell you, but it’s something you’ll just have to experience for yourself when you see the movie.
Here’s King’s tweet:
The official logline reads: "Worlds collide in The Flash when Barry uses his superpowers to travel back in time in order to change the events of the past. But when his attempt to save his family inadvertently alters the future, Barry becomes trapped in a reality in which General Zod has returned, threatening annihilation, and there are no Super Heroes to turn to. That is, unless Barry can coax a very different Batman out of retirement and rescue an imprisoned Kryptonian... albeit not the one he's looking for. Ultimately, to save the world that he is in and return to the future that he knows, Barry's only hope is to race for his life. But will making the ultimate sacrifice be enough to reset the universe?"
The movie stars Ezra Miller as Barry Allan aka The Flash, Michael Keaton as Bruce Wayne aka Batman, Sasha Calle as Kara aka Supergirl, Ben Affleck as Batman, Michael Shannon as Zod, with Ron Livingston and Maribel Verdú, who are playing Barry’s parents. Saoirse-Monica Jackson (Derry Girls) and internet personality Rudy Mancuso will also appear.
The Andy Muschietti-directed movie will be released on June 16th, 2023.
