Super Bowl Spot For DESPICABLE ME 4 Has a Little Fun with A.I.
Illumination has released an amusing Super Bowl TV spot for Despicable Me 4. It’s titled “Minion Intelligence” and it has a little fun with A.I. as it reveals that the Minions are the silly brains behind the technology.
The new chapter centers on Gru (Steve Carrell) and Lucy (Kristen Wiig) and their girls, Margo (Miranda Cosgrove), Edith (Dana Gaier) and Agnes (Madison Polan) “as they welcome a new member to the Gru family, Gru Jr., who is intent on tormenting his dad. Gru faces a new nemesis in Maxime Le Mal (Will Ferrell) and his femme fatale girlfriend Valentina (Sofia Vergara), and the family is forced to go on the run.”
The film also introduces new characters voiced by Joey King, Stephen Colbert, and Chloe Fineman.
The screenplay for the new film is written by Mike White (School of Rock, The White Lotus), and franchise director Chris Renaud (The Secret Life of Pets 2) returns to helm the franchise after being away from it for a decade. He last helmed Despicable Me 2, and this time he is sharing the directing duties with Patrick Delage in his directorial debut.
Despicable Me 4 is set to premiere in theaters on July 3, 2024.
