SUPERGIRL Rumored Trailer Description Shared Online Ahead of CCXP Debut

DC fans might be getting their first real look at the upcoming Supergirl movie this weekend, and the internet is already lighting up with claims of what will be shown.

With DC Studios gearing up for CCXP in São Paulo from December 4 to 7, expectations are high that the first teaser for the film will finally drop during the event.

The movie’s official social channels have recently gone live, adding even more fuel to the speculation that a trailer reveal is close, though there’s still no confirmation that it will be released online right away.

Several DC-focused accounts have begun sharing what they say is a breakdown of the teaser, and one of the most talked about descriptions comes from @UniversoDCnauta, who has previously posted accurate early details about Superman. The account shared the following:

"It’s a more fun teaser focused on action, with Blondie on the soundtrack. The teaser starts with Krypto taking a leak and hungover Supergirl."

No word yet on which Blondie track is featured, but “One Way or Another” feels like a safe guess.

Another account, @BeyondReporter, offered a longer description that expands on the moment with Krypto and Kara.

"The teaser opens with a surprisingly grounded and comedic beat: we see Krypto the Superdog casually lifting his leg to pee on a space rock. The camera pans to Kara (Supergirl), who is waking up looking dishevelled, groggy, and clearly nursing a massive hangover.

“As she tries to gather herself, the iconic sound of Blondie kicks in, shifting the energy instantly. The trailer explodes into a fast-paced montage of stylized action.

“We see Kara blasting through cosmic environments, delivering brutal punches to alien threats, and flying with aggressive speed. The vibe is distinct from Superman—it’s grittier, louder, and colorful, focusing on a Supergirl who is ready to fight."

The Krypto moment and Blondie cue feel plausible, though some fans are unsure how much of the extended description is accurate. One detail that stands out is the complete absence of Jason Momoa’s Lobo. But, they might be saving him for another trailer.

Production on Supergirl wrapped principal photography in May, though planned reshoots kicked off recently. According to reports, cameras are rolling again for about two weeks to add scenes featuring David Corenswet’s Superman.

This lines up with the Superman costume disappearing from the Warner Bros. Studio Tour exhibit and being replaced with a note stating, "Superman costume currently being used by production."

Some fans initially suspected it might connect to Man of Tomorrow, but James Gunn’s next DCU movie is still in very early development.

There’s also been word that Supergirl hosted a quiet screening on the Burbank lot for a handful of executives and trusted creatives within James Gunn’s DC circle. While they didn’t reveal what was shown, a couple of reliable insiders have suggested they’ve heard very positive things.

Milly Alcock returns as Kara Zor El after briefly appearing in the closing moments of Superman, and fans are eager to see how her story takes shape in the new DCU.

All eyes now shift to CCXP. If the teaser plays as expected, fans will finally get their first real taste of what Supergirl is bringing to the DC Universe.
