Teaser For Netflix's SPLINTER CELL: DEATHWATCH Anime Series Starring Liev Schreiber
Netflix has released a first-look teaser at the upcoming Splinter Cell anime series that they have been developing with Ubisoft. Liev Schreiber is set to star in the series and Sam Fisher.
Splinter Cell is an animated show based on the award-winning series of espionage video games. It features Sam Fisher, a black ops agent working for the US government division “The Fourth Echelon.”
John Wick and Falcon and the Winter Soldier writer Derek Kolstad is the writer and executive producer on the series.
The franchise launched in 2002, and it follows former U.S. Navy SEAL Sam Fisher after he is recruited by the NSA to work for the mysterious Third Echelon division within the agency. The game sees Fisher engage in a number of black ops missions, employing stealth and military tactics.
The original game spawned six sequels and a series of novels. There’s also a film that his been in development for years with Tom Hardy attached to star.
The series has received a two-season, 16 episode order. The series is being helmed by Guillaume Dousse and Félicien Colmet-Daage with animation studios Sun Creature and Fost producing.
