Teaser Trailer for Adult Swim's MY ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN Animated Series
Adult Swim has just dropped a short teaser trailer for its upcoming DC animated series My Adventures With Superman. This is a quick first impression of the series, but it looks like it features a classic version of Superman that fans will be able to enjoy watching.
The animation has a manga-type style to it and I like what I see in this first look. It’ll be fun to watch this story unfold. As far as what that story involves, the “My” in the title refers to Jimmy Olsen, and it will be told through his experiences.
The series is described as “a serialized coming-of-age story catching up with twenty-somethings Clark Kent, the bright and driven Lois Lane, and their best friend Jimmy Olsen as they begin to discover who they are and everything they can accomplish together as an investigative reporting team at the Daily Planet.”
The story follows Clark “as he builds his secret identity as Superman and explores his own mysterious origins. Lois, on her way to becoming a star reporter, teams up with photographer Jimmy Olsen to break the stories that matter. All the while, Clark and Lois are falling in love… as Lois gets closer and closer to uncovering his secret identity! Our trio share adventures, take down bad guys, stumble over secrets, and discover what it means to be heroes in their own right.”
The Boys star Jack Quaid voices Superman, with Alice Lee as Lois and Ishmael Sahid as Jimmy. The series will premiere sometime this summer.
