Teaser Trailer for SILO Season 3 Rewinds Time and Reveals the Beginning of Everything
Apple TV just dropped a teaser for the third season of Silo, and it’s not just another peek ahead, it’s a full-on rewind into the mystery that’s been hanging over the series since day one. If you’ve been following the twists and revelations, this next chapter looks like it’s finally ready to start answering the biggest questions.
“Before we can know why we’re here. Before we can know why everything is as it is. Before we can know how it all will end, we need to understand how it all began.”
That line from Rebecca Ferguson’s Juliette hits differently once you’ve seen the teaser. It sets the tone for a season that’s shifting gears in a big way. After the chaos and cliffhanger of last season, the story isn’t just moving forward, it’s digging deep into the past.
The footage cleverly runs backward through key moments from the first two seasons before slamming into something completely new. And that’s where things get really interesting. Instead of the familiar ruined landscape, we see a world that isn’t broken. It’s functioning. Alive. And somehow connected to the creation of the silos themselves.
That means we’re finally getting closer to answers. Who built these underground structures? What pushed humanity to this point? And what really happened before everything went dark?
The new storyline introduces characters played by Jessica Henwick, Ashley Zukerman, and Colin Hanks, placing them in a timeline long before Juliette’s story. According to the official synopsis:
“Season three of Silo continues the saga of a dystopian society of 10,000 people living underground under mysterious circumstances, while revealing an origin story set centuries earlier. In the present, Juliette Nichols (Ferguson) survives her forced ‘cleaning’ but returns with memory loss as the silo recovers from rebellion and faces a dangerous new threat.
“Meanwhile, in the ‘Before Times,’ journalist Helen Drew (Jessica Henwick) and Congressman Daniel Keene (Ashley Zukerman) uncover a conspiracy that pulls them into a chain of events with catastrophic, irreversible consequences.”
So while we’re heading into the past, the present timeline isn’t slowing down either. Juliette’s survival comes with a heavy cost, and the silo itself is still on shaky ground after everything that’s happened. That mix of timelines could make for the most layered season yet.
Season 3 will run for ten episodes, kicking off July 3 with new episodes dropping every Friday through September 4. And if you’re worried about how long this story will stretch, there’s already an end in sight.
The series has been renewed for a fourth and final season, meaning the creators are steering toward a definitive conclusion.
Also worth noting, Steve Zahn is confirmed to return, which should make longtime fans happy.
This teaser reframes everything we’ve seen so far. If the first two seasons were about survival and control, this one looks like it’s about truth. And from the looks of it, that truth is going to change everything.
