Temuera Morrison Revealed THE MANDALORIAN Season 4 Would Have Featured Boba Fett's Return
At the beginning of this year, it was announced that in lieu of The Mandalorian Season 4, we would be getting the feature film The Mandalorian & Grogu.
This is exciting news for fans of the franchise, as we will get to see these beloved characters in a full-length story on the big screen. But unfortunately, it’s not so good news for actor Temuera Morrison, who plays Boba Fett in both The Mandalorian, and the limited series The Book of Boba Fett.
Not only did the actor verify that he will not be appearing in the film, but he also revealed at Fan Expo Chicago this weekend that he'd been lined up to appear in The Mandalorian Season 4.
Scripts for the next season had already been written, but Lucasfilm decided during last year's strike that they wanted to make a feature revolving around Din Djarin and Grogu.
Given their popularity and the way Season 3 ended, it makes sense for Disney to cash in on The Mandalorian's success by moving the next story to the theatre and cash in on that box office.
Morrison told the SFFGazette:
"I understand they're gonna do a Mando with Grogu movie next, and uh...things have changed a little too. There was going to be a Mando [season] 4, I think, and I was going to turn up in that, but as of now, I'm still waiting for a phone call, to be quite honest."
I can’t imagine that this is the end of Morrison’s Boba Fett. I would bet we will see him turn up again once this story is completed. Are you looking forward to seeing The Mandalorian & Grogu? Are you hoping to see Boba Fett in future Star Wars projects?
