THE BATMAN Director Matt Reeves is Looking For a Familiar Actor To Play Batman; Who Should it Be?
Ben Affleck recently confirmed that he would not be returning to the role of Batman and Matt Reeves plans on recasting the role in The Batman with a younger actor. According to a new report from entertainment reporter Justin Kroll, the director and studio are looking to cast a familiar face in the role.
THE BATMAN: this sounds like it could move faster then people would expect with the date set. Hearing studio wants a familiar face and Reeves has his certain age in mind and that age is very specific like I said two names within 7 years of each other; "Too young, too Old'

I think it was safe to assume that they’d cast a big name in the role. It’s not like they are going to gamble on an actor no one has ever heard of before. One actor that the director previously suggested is Jake Gyllenhaal, but with his involvement with Marvel’s Spider-Man: Far From Home, that might not happen. The studio was also looking at Kit Harington, Jack Huston, Jack O’Connell and Noah Centineo at one point.
It’ll be interesting to see who the director and studio ends up casting in the role of a younger Bruce Wayne. Casting on the film will begin shortly, so it’s only a matter of time. While we wait, let’s talk about any young actors out there with familiar faces that you think would fit the role. Who would you want to see put on the cape and cowl next?
Director Matt Reeves has said that the film will be filled with a Rogues Gallery of characters. He also said that this will be a Batman noir story and that it will focus on Batman in detective mode.
The movie will be released on June 25th, 2021.
