The Best Deleted Scene Ever Comes From The DUNGEONS & DRAGONS Movie From 2000
With Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves released in theaters this weekend, there’s been a lot of talk about the Dungeons & Dragons movie that was released in 2000. That was the first attempt at a live-action movie and it was a very forgettable film.
There’s been a deleted scene making the rounds on the internet from that movie that is being labeled as “The worst deleted scene ever put on DVD.” But, I have to disagree with that because I think it’s the best deleted scene ever put on DVD!
This scene is so entertaining and it offered a great, much-needed laugh! This is the most memorable scene from the film and it’s what the movie will always be remembered for, and it wasn’t even in the final cut of the movie.
In the scene, Justin Whalin’s character Ridley Freeborn approaches a dragon egg, and as he gets closer we hear an egg cracking sound that is clearly someone crumpling up a soda can off-screen. Then the egg disappears and is replaced by an orange stick marker with where the dragon is supposed to be. Then there’s a shot of a physical blue screen, along with some strange shot composition. The grand finale features an unfinished CGI dragon flying away.
You’re gonna love this! The video is all queued up and ready to watch below!
