The Cast of SCOTT PILGRIM VS. THE WORLD Reunite for 10th Anniversary Script Reading
With the tenth anniversary of Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World coming up, there’s been a lot of talk about the film. That talk includes an animated series in the works and Michael Cera wanting to get the gang back together. While a lot of fans have been hoping to see a sequel to the film, that probably won’t happen. But, the cast actually did reunite back in May for a script read-through!
The news comes from EW, who reports that in addition to marking the film's tenth anniversary, the virtual read-through reunion was held to promote and benefit the charity Water for People, which is a global nonprofit that helps people bring clean water and sanitation solutions to their communities for generations to come.
Cera, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Ellen Wong, Mark Webber, Alison Pill, Satya Bhabha, Chris Evans, Anna Kendrick, Aubrey Plaza, Mae Whitman, Brandon Routh, and Jason Schwartzman all participated in the read-through, and it’s something that fans of the film won’t want to miss!
The cast of the film were also joined by writer and director Edgar Wright along with co-writer Michael Bacall, and creator Bryan Lee O’Malley
There are no details on when exactly the reunion will be released, but it will be hosted by EW later this summer. It’s also be revealed that Dolby Cinema will celebrate the film’s 10 year anniversary with an upcoming theatrical rerelease.
