THE CONJURING 4 Will Be the Final Film in the Franchise and It Will Be Directed by Michael Chaves
James Wan and New Line Cinema’s The Conjuring movie series will come to an end with the upcoming fourth film. The Conjuring 4, has been in the works for about a year already, but it has finally landed a director, and that director is Michael Chaves, who also helmed The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It and The Nun II.
Those were decent films in the horror franchise, but definitely not to the caliber of quality that James Wan brought to the franchise. Chaves is comfortable with the franchise, though, so it makes sense that he would be the one to helm this final Conjuring movie.
David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick, who co-wrote the third installment with franchise creator James Wan, wrote the screenplay for the film, and Wan is producing with Peter Safran.
There are no story details to share, but the story will once again put a focus on supernatural investigators Ed and Lorrain Warren and one of their creepy investigations. Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga are expected to reprise their roles.
There are still several different investigations from the Warrens to choose from for this next story and it will be interesting to see what this final story will entail. I hope it’s a good and scary one.
