THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA 2 Teaser Reunites Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway with a Perfectly Icy “Took You Long Enough”

The Devil Wears Prada 2 has finally dropped its first teaser, and while it keeps the story tightly under wraps, it serves up just the kind of cool, stylish attitude fans have been waiting for.

Set to Madonna’s “Vogue,” the teaser doesn’t reveal much, no plot hints, no dramatic reveals, just a single, moment. Anne Hathaway’s Andy Sachs steps into an elevator after Meryl Streep’s Miranda Priestly, who looks back and says, “Took you long enough.”

The sequel follows up the beloved 2006 dramedy that starred Streep, Hathaway, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci, all of whom are returning. This time, The Devil Wears Prada 2 is expected to shift focus to Miranda Priestly’s perspective as she navigates the changing landscape of the fashion industry and the decline of print media.

Based on Lauren Weisberger’s 2003 novel, the original film chronicled Andy’s journey from a wide-eyed journalism graduate to a savvy assistant surviving the cutthroat world of Runway magazine.

Joining the returning cast are Kenneth Branagh, Simone Ashley, Justin Theroux, Lucy Liu, Patrick Brammall, Caleb Hearon, Helen J. Shen, Pauline Chalamet, B.J. Novak, and Conrad Ricamora, with Tracie Thoms and Tibor Feldman reprising their roles.

Adding even more star power, Lady Gaga is reportedly making an appearance after being spotted on set.

The sequel is directed once again by David Frankel, from a script by Aline Brosh McKenna, with Wendy Finerman and Karen Rosenfelt producing.

The Devil Wears Prada 2 hits theaters on May 1, 2026.
