The Doomsday Clock Is Ticking in New AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY 100-Day Countdown Teaser

There are only 100 days until Avengers: Doomsday hits theaters, and Marvel Studios is marking the occasion with a new teaser that puts the God of Thunder front and center.

Marvel Studios shared the countdown trailer on YouTube, reminding fans that the massive MCU event arrives December 18, 2026.

There isn’t much in the way of new footage here, with the teaser largely pulling shots from previous promotional material and pairing them with new music and a ticking clock.

Thor has been one of the key voices running through the marketing for Avengers: Doomsday, and the 100-day teaser continues to lean into his emotional journey. He’s a father carrying some serious grief while also preparing to pick up the hammer for a fight that could decide the fate of multiple universes.

The teaser also cuts through glimpses of Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers, Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom, Charles Xavier, Sue Storm, Shuri and several other heroes who are being pulled into the coming multiversal collision.

Thor will serve as one of the emotional anchors of Doomsday. Hemsworth is one of the remaining links to the original Avengers lineup, and Thor has already survived more universe-threatening insanity than just about anybody in the MCU.

Anticipation surrounding the movie is already ridiculously high. Avengers: Doomsday reportedly recently went through another test screening, with early reports claiming the response was overwhelmingly positive.

There are even reports suggesting its internal scores could be higher than Avengers: Endgame, which earned approximately $2.8 billion worldwide and remains the second highest-grossing movie of all time.

Obviously, internal test-screening chatter isn’t the same thing as audiences seeing the finished movie, but it certainly isn’t going to cool down expectations for Marvel’s next Avengers event.

Joe Russo and Anthony Russo are back directing both Avengers: Doomsday and its 2027 follow-up, Avengers: Secret Wars.

The film centers on the beloved heroes from three different universes will find themselves on a deadly collision course as they face an existential threat unlike anything they’ve encountered before.

Marvel is also bringing together a huge collection of characters from across its cinematic history and they will come together to battle Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom, who is going to end up obliterating all of them.

The Doomsday clock is officially ticking and Avengers: Doomsday opens in theaters on December 18, 2026.
