The DUCKTALES Reboot's Cancelation Has Been Confirmed
Yesterday a rumor surfaced that Disney XD’s DuckTales reboot had been canceled. A lot of fans were bummed out to hear the news, and some were hoping that it wasn’t true. But, the animated show’s cancellation has been confirmed. DuckTales will not get a fourth season.
A Disney XD spokesperson said in a statement:
“The talented creative team, led by Matt Youngberg and Francisco Angones, have delivered exceptional storytelling with uniquely reimagined characters for three seasons of 75 episodes and more than 15 shorts. While physical production is wrapping, ‘DuckTales’ continues to be available on Disney Channels and Disney+ around the world and fans will get an epic season finale in 2021.”
This really is a shame, and I didn’t expect this because DuckTales was actually a great show! It seemed to have a solid fanbase of both fans of the original series and the new fans. I wish we could have gotten at least one more season of entertainment!
The voice cast included David Tennant, Danny Pudi, Ben Schwartz, Bobby Moynihan, Kate Micucci, Beck Bennett, Toks Olagundoye, Tony Anselmo, and Paget Brewster. Lin-Manuel Miranda also made a guest appearance in the first season as Gizmoduck.
