The Entire LEPRECHAUN Horror Film Franchise Collection Is Coming to Hulu

This year marks the 30th anniversary of the release of the cult classic horror film Leprechaun. In celebration of that the entire collection of films will be coming to Hulu. There are eight movies in total, and I personally haven’t seen them all, so this is my opportunity to have a full-on Leprechaun movie marathon! The movie will debut on Hulu on October 1st.

The original film, which is the best one that I’ve seen, starred Jennifer Aniston and Warwick Davis. The movie is a horror-comedy directed by Mark Jones. It follows the story of a malevolent leprechaun, who is determined to reclaim his stolen pot of gold. After being trapped in a crate for 10 years by Dan O'Grady, the leprechaun is accidentally released by Tory and her new friends in North Dakota. As they try to survive and figure out how to defeat him, the leprechaun terrorizes them with his magical powers and murderous intent, stopping at nothing to retrieve every last coin from his pot of gold.

That’s the film that launched the franchise! Here’s the full selection of films:

  • Leprechaun (1993)

  • Leprechaun 2 (1994)

  • Leprechaun 3 (1995)

  • Leprechaun 4: In Space (1997)

  • Leprechaun in the Hood (2000)

  • Leprechaun: Back 2 tha Hood (2003)

  • Leprechaun: Origins (2014)

  • Leprechaun Returns (2018)

It was also confirmed earlier this year that the series was going to be revived with a reboot. Erin Westerman, president of production for Lionsgate's Motion Picture Group, shared in a statement: "Thirty years after its debut, this franchise still casts a spell, and we're thrilled to be bringing it back with a new vision. Roy [Lee] and Miri [Yoon] are two of our most trusted producers, especially with this genre, and we're excited by Felipe's vision for the film as a director. In his hands, this movie should be very scary and a ton of fun."

Will you be watching the Leprechaun films when they debut on Hulu?
