THE FLASH Director and Producer Discuss Ezra Miller Controversy After Film Screens

While here at CinemaCon, we were given the awesome opportunity to watch The Flash in its entirety, and it was awesome! You can watch out footage reaction video here. One of the biggest questions we had after the movie ended was, what were Warner Bros.'s plans for Ezra Miller because the movie is going to be a huge hit, but the actor has done some pretty insane things in recent years and has been arrested multiple times for several different things including assaulting people, kidnapping, burglary, and more.

Miller did eventually apologize for their actions and began treatment for mental health issues. There was a previous report that WB would be open to working with the actor again. The report said: "Given that Miller has stayed out of trouble since beginning mental health treatment in the summer. Some executives are amenable to continuing with the actor as the world-saving speedster after The Flash bows on June 16."

Now, The Flash director Andy Muschietti had this to say on Miller’s condition at CinamaCon:

“Ezra is well now. We're all hoping that they get better... They're taking the steps to recovery. They're dealing with mental health issues, but they're well. We talked to them not too long ago, and they're very committed to getting better.”

Producer Barbara Muschietti added:

"And, I have to say, during our shoot, during principal photography, their commitment to the role was something we've never seen. And the discipline to the work, the willingness — physical, mental, and just wanting to go beyond the pale — is just amazing."

Despite what they have been charged of it sounds like Miller may be getting a second shot at being Barry Allen. Once the final shot of The Flash was done, we realized just how great of an actor Miller is. Now, with these comments from the Muschiettis, I don’t think they are going to replace Miller.

Do you think that they deserve a shot at continuing as Barry Allen? Do you think it would be a mistake for them to keep them in the DCEU?

Please, check out The Flash in theaters on June 16th of this year. You will not regret it.

Billy Out!
