THE GENTLEMEN Season 2 Trailer Brings the Crime to Italy as Netflix Renews Series for Season 3
Netflix is doubling down on The Gentlemen. With Season 2 set to premiere September 3, the streamer has released the full trailer for Guy Ritchie’s stylish crime series while also confirming that a third season is officially happening.
Ritchie will return to direct Season 3, and the renewal arrives with another interesting development surrounding the show. Meghan Markle was reportedly in talks to join the series for its third season, but it’s since been reported that the casting has been withdrawn.
Before we get there, though, Eddie Horniman has another criminal mess to deal with. The series brings back Theo James as Eddie, along with Kaya Scodelario as Susie Glass, Ray Winstone as Bobby Glass, Joely Richardson as Lady Sabrina, Vinnie Jones as Geoff Seacombe, Jasmine Blackborow as Charly, Michael Vu as Jimmy, Daniel Ings as Freddy, Harry Goodwins as Jack, Ruby Sear as Gabrielle, Pearce Quigley as Gospel John and Giancarlo Esposito as Stanley Johnston.
This time, the criminal playground gets considerably bigger. Season 2 moves beyond the English countryside and heads into Italy, giving Eddie and company some gorgeous new scenery in which to make dangerous decisions.
Netflix describes the new season as taking place “from the country piles of England to the majestic Italian lakes. This time ambition can’t be tamed…and there’s all to play for…”
The returning cast will be joined by a sizable group of newcomers, including Hugh Bonneville (I Came By, The Agency), Benjamin Clementine (Dune, Blitz), Benedetta Porcaroli (The Leopard, Amanda), Michele Morrone (Another Simple Favour, The Housemaid), Sergio Castellitto (The Star Maker, Conclave), Amra Mallassi (Dune: Part Two, Hijack) and Tyler Conti (Tell Me Everything, Safe).
British professional boxer Chris Eubank Jr. and TV host, broadcaster and entrepreneur Maya Jama are also joining the fun.
Ritchie teased how much larger the story has become and what the Season 3 renewal means for where he can take it next:
“The ambition of The Gentlemen has accelerated, the world has expanded and the consequences carry weight. A third season felt inevitable, and I’m looking forward to pushing the boundaries of it further.”
The first season took the world of Ritchie’s 2019 film and turned it into a larger playground filled with aristocrats, drug empires, gangsters and people discovering that getting into the criminal business is considerably easier than getting out of it.
Season 2 now has the opportunity to take that formula outside its familiar territory. The move to the Italian lakes gives the series a fresh backdrop while Eddie's ambitions appear ready to create even bigger problems.

The good news for fans is that we already know Eddie's criminal adventures won't end with the upcoming episodes. With Season 3 locked in and the possibility of Markle joining the cast, Ritchie is clearly preparing to keep expanding this wonderfully messy criminal world.
The Gentlemen Season 2 premieres on Netflix September 3.
