THE HAUNTING OF HILL HOUSE Star Victoria Pedretti Joins Season 2, THE HAUNTING OF BLY MANOR

The star of Netflix’s incredible horror series The Haunting of Hill House, Victoria Pedretti, has joined the highly anticipated second season, which is titled The Haunting of Bly Manor.

Season 2 will not continue the story of Season 1. This will tell a completely different story with different characters and it’s based on the 1898 novel by Henry James, The Turn of the Screw. It tells the story of a governess, who will be played by Pedretti, “hired to look after a pair of siblings. However, several ghosts around their manor house exhibit a supernatural hold over the children.”

Series creator and director Mike Flanagan will be back for Season 2 and Carla Gugino is also hoping to return for Season 2 as well. If her schedule allows for it to happen, she’ll gladly jump on board. I’m sure we will see a few of the other actors from Season 1 return for next season as well.

Here’s a description of the The Turn of the Screw novel:

A very young woman's first job: governess for two weirdly beautiful, strangely distant, oddly silent children, Miles and Flora, at a forlorn estate...An estate haunted by a beckoning evil.

Half-seen figures who glare from dark towers and dusty windows- silent, foul phantoms who, day by day, night by night, come closer, ever closer. With growing horror, the helpless governess realizes the fiendish creatures want the children, seeking to corrupt their bodies, possess their minds, own their souls...

But worse-much worse- the governess discovers that Miles and Flora have no terror of the lurking evil.

For they want the walking dead as badly as the dead want them.

Flanagan and his creative team will change the story up to make it work as a TV series and I trust that they’ll once again deliver another awesome and scary series!

Pedretti will next appear in the upcoming Quentin Tarantino film Once Upon a Time in Hollywood and in the second season of the Netflix thriller series You.
