THE MANDALORIAN Season 2 Writers and Cast Confirmed with Jon Favreau Writing 6 of 8 Episodes

With only a few weeks to go before The Mandalorian Season 2 premieres on Disney+, we have some confirmation on the team of writers who wrote the season along with the actors who have joined the cast.

The Writer’s Guild of America website has shared that the official list of writers for The Mandalorian season 2, which includes Jon FavreauDave Filoni, and Rick Famuyiwa. Favreau wrote six of the eight episodes with Filoni having written Chapter 13 and Famuyiwa, who previously co-wrote Chapter 6 in Season 1 with Christopher Yost, writing Chapter 15.

It’s safe to assume that Filoni and Famuyiwa have directed the episodes they wrote. The other filmmakers involved include Bryce Dallas Howard, Peyton Reed, Robert Rodriguez, and Carl Weathers.

As far as the cast goes, Rosario Dawson will be playing Ahsoka Tano, Timothy Olyphant is playing Cobb Vanth who wears Boba Fett’s armor, Temuera Morrison plays Boba Fett, Katee Sackhoff plays Bo-Katan, Michael Biehn is playing a bounty hunter, then there’s Sasha Banks in an undisclosed role. Pedro Pascal and Gina Carano also return to reprise their roles.

The Mandalorian and the Child continue their journey, facing enemies and rallying allies as they make their way through a dangerous galaxy in the tumultuous era after the collapse of the Galactic Empire.

The new season of The Mandalorian premieres on Disney+ on October 302020.
