The New PREDATOR Movie PREY is Coming To Hulu and Story Details Are Confirmed
The new Predator movie that’s being directed by Dan Trachtenberg (10 Cloverfield Lane) is officially titled Prey, and it will be coming to Hulu in the summer of 2022.
The story for the film is set in the world of the Comanche Nation 300 years ago, “the action-thriller follows Naru, the skilled warrior who fiercely protects her tribe against a highly evolved alien predator.”
The Indigenous actor Amber Midthunder (Legion) takes on the role of Naru, who wants to “prove her worth as a warrior,” and she gets her chance when “she comes face to face with the most dangerous hunter of all, the other-worldly predator.”
All of this information is in line with what we’ve previous heard. An earlier description that we got said the story followed “a Comanche woman who goes against gender norms and traditions to become a warrior. Many years ago – in a time before any Europeans had ever encroached on their lands – the Comanche people had a well defined society and gender norms. Kee is very close to her younger brother, Taabe, who is being groomed as a leader. As capable as any young man in the tribe, Naru has always been a teacher and source of inspiration for Taabe. In the Comanche way – she is Patsi – the elder sister that has helped to shape him. Naru is a truth teller and has insight that others do not. A tomboy, she wants to prove herself in the masculine world of the Comanche. When danger threatens them all – she sets out to prove that she is as capable as any young warrior.”
When previously talking about the project, producer John Davis said, "It goes back to what made the original Predator movie work. It's the ingenuity of a human being who won't give up, who's able to observe and interpret, basically being able to beat a stronger, more powerful, well-armed force.”
