The OBI-WAN KENOBI Series Will Be Set Around The Same Time as SOLO

It was officially announced at D23 that Lucasfilm was developing an Obi-Wan Kenobi series for Disney+ and that Ewan McGregor would be reprising his role in the series. Kathleen Kennedy also confirmed that all the scripts were written and that the series would start shooting next year.

Thanks to the latest episode of the The Star Wars Show, we now know when the series will be set. They’ve officially confirmed that the series will take place eight years after Star Wars: The Revenge of the Sith. That means the series will be set around the same time as Solo: The Star Wars Story.

We don’t know what the story for the Obi-Wan series will entail, but damn… it seems like a great opportunity to include some characters and elements that were introduced in the film like certain members of Crimson Dawn. Qi'ra and Darth Maul could be possibilities.

Would you want to see the Obi-Wan Kenobi series connect with Solo in some way?

This week on The Star Wars Show we review all the Star Wars news to come out of D23 Expo including the brand new special look of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. Plus, Anthony talks to the cast of The Mandalorian, and thanks Arrested Development actor, Tony Hale for our Emmy.
