The Release Dates Have Been Pushed Back Again for the MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE Sequels

Paramount Pictures and Skydance have announced that they’ve pushed the release dates back again for  Mission: Impossible 7 and Mission: Impossible 8. The new release dates are July 14th, 2023, and June 28th, 2024, respectively.

The announcement reads:

“After thoughtful consideration, Paramount Pictures and Skydance have decided to postpone the release dates for Mission: Impossible 7 & 8 in response to delays due to the ongoing pandemic. The new release dates will be July 14, 2023, and June 28, 2024, respectively. We look forward to providing moviegoers with an unparalleled theatrical experience.”

Mission: Impossible 7 was previously set to be released on September 30th of this year. I don’t know, it’s their films, and they can do what they want with them, but people are obviously still going to the movies! Especially the big ones like this. Regardless of when the movies are released at this point, I think they will make the same amount of money at the box office. The people and fans who want to see it are going to see it whether it’s sooner or later.

Paramount Pictures seems to be the only studio right now that is still pushing its movie releases back.

Mission: Impossible 7 is directed by director Christopher McQuarrie and it also stars Hayley Atwell (Agent Carter), Rebecca Ferguson (Doctor Sleep), Simon Pegg (Ready Player One), Ving Rhames (Pulp Fiction), Vanessa Kirby (Hobbs & Shaw), and Henry Czerny (Ready or Not) along with newcomers Shea Whigham (Joker), Pom Klementieff (Guardians of the Galaxy 2, Avengers: Infinity War), and Esai Morales (La Bamba, Titans) as the villain. Even Henry Czerny from the first Mission: Impossible film will reprise his role for the first time. The movie also features Cary Elwes (The Princess Bride), Rob Delaney (Deadpool 2), Charles Parnell (Top Gun: Maverick), Indira Varma (Game of Thrones), and Mark Gatiss (Sherlock).
