THE SIMPSONS Officially Renewed for Seasons 31 and 32
Fox has announced that The Simpsons has been picked up for a 31st and 32nd season at the network. The news comes a couple weeks after it was reported that the series was nearing a new deal for two more seasons.
At the end of season 32, the popular animated series will have produced 713 episodes total! The Simpsons is the longest-running primetime scripted show in television history, and with the series continuing to be good, funny, and fresh, I hope it lives on past season 32. But I know it’s going to have to come to an end sometime. Then, a year after it is finally cancelled, Fox will reboot it.
It’ll be interesting to see how the show moves forward once Disney officially takes over the Fox properties. I hope they don’t change anything and allow the creative team to do their thing.
The Simpsons has been a part of my life since I was 11 years old. It amazes me that it’s still going after all of these years. How many more years do you think it will go before Disney pulls the plug on it?
