The Soul Stone is Spotted in The Latest Promo Spot for AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR!
Before I get into wear the Soul Stone was spotted in the latest promo spot for Avengers: Infinity War, I'm going to throw up a Spoiler Warning. This is an officially released promo spot, but in case you want to keep yourself in the dark until you see the movie...
This past weekend an awesome new promo was released for the film. At one point in the trailer, Thanos is seen stepping onto Wakanda from inside a dark electrical cloud. The YouTube version of the trailer cuts off Thanos' gauntlet at the bottom of the screen. But, the Twitter version doesn't cut it off and it shows Thanos' Infinity Gauntlet containing five of the six Infinity Stones!
I'm sure you'll be interested to know that one of those stones is the orange Soul Stone! In the screenshot below, you can see that the gauntlet is already filled with the purple Power Stone, the blue Space Stone, the red Reality Stone, the orange Soul Stone, and the green Time Stone. The one stone that's missing is the yellow Mind Stone, which is in Vision's forehead.
This means that the epic battle scene teased in the trailers is going to be the big climactic battle of the film. The last stand against Thanos! And if he gets his hands on that Mind Stone and snaps his fingers, the MCU as we know it will be obliterated.
This is interesting because in the previous trailers, we've only seen Thanos sporting two of the Infinity Stones on Wakanda. The most noticeable shot of this is when he's attacking Captain America. But, the rest of the stones could have been CGI'd out to keep fans guessing. Maybe, they forgot to CGI out the stones in this latest spot or didn't think anyone would notice. But they are clearly there!
We have no idea where he got the Soul Stone from, but Thanos has obviously been on quite a journey before he arrives on Wakanda and with five Infinity Stones already in place, it's hard to think that the remaining Avengers will be able to stop him. It also makes me wonder how many people he had to kill to get those stones. I'm scared.
Here's the YouTube shot:
Here's the Twitter shot:
One other detail that I want to point out is that in this shot the Space Stone is shining bright, which means he's using it as he travels through space from one place to another. More evidence that the stone, which was in the tesseract, probably blasted Red Skull to somewhere in the universe.
