The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Join MAGIC: THE GATHERING in an Epic Crossover Set
The heroes in a half shell are slicing their way into Magic: The Gathering! Leonardo, Michelangelo, Raphael, Donatello, and the rest of the gang are officially teaming up with Wizards of the Coast for an all-new crossover set titled Magic: The Gathering | Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
The set was revealed during New York Comic Con and is set to hit tabletops on March 6, 2026.
This announcement wasn’t a total surprise for sharp-eyed fans. Wizards had left one mysterious slot on their 2026 release roadmap blank during MagicCon: Atlanta, teasing a reveal for October 10. Now, that mystery’s out of the sewers, and it’s packed with nostalgia, pizza, and plenty of shell-shocking mechanics.
The set introduces a pre-constructed Commander deck called Turtle Power!, led by Leonardo, the Balance. Naturally, the rest of the brothers, along with their wise mentor Splinter, are part of the deck too.
Returning fans will be happy to see the Partner mechanic making a comeback, allowing players to pair any two Turtle Commanders to lead their decks together.
Collectors and art fans are also getting some serious treats. The set features multiple new card treatments, starting with stunning borderless versions of the four Turtles featuring original artwork by Kevin Eastman, the co-creator of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. These premium cards include Eastman’s signature stamp and can only be found in English Collector Boosters.
Another unique treatment celebrates the entire TMNT legacy with borderless source material cards, showcasing art pulled from across the franchise’s history. There will be 20 of these cards, available in both Play and Collector Boosters, though the foil versions are exclusive to Collector Boosters.
And then there’s a pizza-themed card series. Six classic Magic cards are getting a TMNT twist, starting with Dark Ritual. Each will feature pizza-inspired artwork and will only be available in a special Pizza Bundle, which, in true Turtle fashion, comes in packaging that looks exactly like a real pizza box. Just... don’t try to eat it.
Wizards also previewed a brand new mechanic called Sneak, which seems to work like Ninjutsu, but with a twist. Instead of swapping in Ninja creatures, Sneak lets players “cheat in” other spells. Considering this is a ninja-filled set, don’t be surprised if Ninjutsu shows up too.
It’s not just the Turtles and Splinter entering the multiverse. Familiar allies and villains are also joining the set, including April O’Neil and a menacing Super Shredder. To top it off, there’s a completely new Turtle Team-Up co-op experience, allowing up to four players to unite as the four Turtles to battle against a special enemy deck.
Whether you’re a Commander player, collector, or just a lifelong TMNT fan, this set looks like it’s going to deliver a radical mix of nostalgia, strategy, and pizza-fueled fun.
