The Title of The New KARATE KID Movie Has Been Revealed
The title of the upcoming Ralph Macchio and Jackie Chan Karate Kid movie has been revealed to by Karate Kid: Legends, and there will be a panel for the film that fans can attend at New York Comic-Con.
American Born Chinese actor Ben Wang will be taking on the role of the next Karate Kid in the movie. Wang is fluent in Mandarin, and is skilled in many forms of martial arts, including Karate, Wing Chun/Kung Fu, Gumdo, Kempo and Taekwando.
There are no details to share on the story, but Macchio will reprise his role as Daniel LaRusso, and Chan will take on the role of Mr. Han, the kung fu master from the Jaden Smith movie. Worlds are colliding! The movie will “mark a continuation of the mythology of the original franchise.”
The movie will be directed by Jonathan Entwistle (The End of the F***ing World) from a script written by Rob Lieber, with Karen Rosenfelt producing. The movie is set for release by Sony Pictures on December 13, 2024.
