There's a New GUNDAM Cafe in Japan to Celebrate 40 Years

2019 marks the 40th Anniversary of the Mobile Suit Gundam franchise and Sunrise is pulling out all the stops. While the franchise may already have two restaurants in Tokyo, it looks like they want to conquer Osaka as well with a new café that opened on March 20. Some of the items you can order include a special curry shaped like Char’s Zaku II, Zaku-shaped omelettes, a pork cutlet shaped like Haro, milk teas with images of characters, and more.

The franchise has announced other plans including a crossover with Hello Kitty, SD Gundam World coming this summer, and Hathaway’s Flash being released later this year. I doubt that’s all we’ll see though as 40 years is a bit of a deal. I’m excited to see what else they have planned.
