Three Amusing Clips From Wes Anderson's Upcoming Sci-Fi Movie ASTEROID CITY
Wes Anderson’s next film project Asteroid City looks like it’s going to offer an incredibly fun and quirky sci-fi story. You know, I’ve always wondered what a Wes Anderson sci-fi film would be like, and this is it! Now, we just need to see how he would handle a horror movie.
We’ve got three new clips to share with you today that offers up some amusing scenes from the movie, and if you’re a fan of Anderson’s work, they are sure to put a smile on your face.
The story is set in a fictional American desert town in 1955. In the story, “the itinerary of a Junior Stargazer/Space Cadet convention (organized to bring together students and parents from across the country for fellowship and scholarly competition) is spectacularly disrupted by world-changing events.”
That world-changing event is the arrival of an alien. The film’s ensemble cast includes Jason Schwartzman, Scarlett Johansson, Jeffrey Wright, Tilda Swinton, and Tom Hanks, with Sophia Lillis, Bryan Cranston, Edward Norton, Adrien Brody, Liev Schreiber, Hope Davis, Stephen Park, Rupert Friend, Maya Hawke, Steve Carell, Matt Dillon, Hong Chau, Willem Dafoe, Margot Robbie, Tony Revolori, Jake Ryan, Fisher Stevens, Rita Wilson, Jarvis Cocker, and Jeff Goldblum.
Asteroid City will be released in theaters on June 17th, 2023.
