THUNDERBOLTS* Star David Harbour Teases the Film "Fundamentally Changes the Course" of the MCU
Marvel brought Thunderbolts* to their Hall H panel this year at Comic-Con, complete with footage from the superhero ensemble film, as well as the incredible cast, who play the characters Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh), US Agent (Wyatt Russell), Ghost (Hannah John-Kamen), Taskmaster (Olga Kurylenko), Contessa Valentina Allegra De Fontaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus), and Sentry (Lewis Pullman)
Then there’s Red Guardian (David Harbour), The Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan), and Harrison Ford in the role of General Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross, President of the United States in Captain America: New World Order, who was confirmed this weekend to also be Red Hulk. Ayo Edebiri is also a member of the cast in an undisclosed role.
While we did get to see some footage from the film, there was still a lot about the story, as well as the asterisk in the title, which is not being disclosed quite yet.
But David Harbour is teasing that the film will have major repercussions in the MCU. He met up with CBM at the convention, and explained:
"Our characters are going to interact with something that we don't really understand, and it fundamentally changes the course of the way things expand. That's all I'm saying. Oh my God, I'm getting calls tomorrow."
This could be in reference to Pullman’s character, Sentry/Robert Reynolds, who is known as a character with the "power of one million exploding suns" that remains one of the most powerful characters in Marvel Comics. Or it could be something else as well.
I’m excited to see the movie and find out what’s in store for these characters, as well as the ripple effect it will cause in the MCU. Thunderbolts* arrives in theaters on July 25, 2025.
