Tim Burton is Sure He and Johnny Depp Will Reunite One Day for Another Film Project

Tim Burton and Johnny Depp have made a great team over the years working together on films such as Edward Scissorhands, Ed Wood, Corpse Bride, Sweeney Todd, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and Alice in Wonderland.

It’s been a long time since the two have collaborated on anything, over a decade since they worked together on Dark Shadows. But Burton is sure that he and Depp will reunite one day for a project.

During an interview with IndieWire, Burton was asked if he would work with Deep again and he said: “Well, I’m sure there will be.

“I never feel like, ‘Oh, I’m going to use this and that actor.’ It usually has to be based on the project I’m working on. That’s what film is all about. It’s collaboration and bouncing ideas off the people around you.”

So, when it happens, it will have to be the right project for Depp, and it won’t be a sequel to any of the previous projects that they worked on together, so that’s good.

Depp’s career hit some major challenges following his lengthy legal battle with Amber Heard, which he won in the end. But, the damage was done.

While Depp has been starring in films, none of them have been mainstream. If anyone could help get Burton’s career back on track, it would be Burton.

Burton is currently gearing up to direct a remake of Attack of the 50 Foot Woman from a script by Gillian Flynn. Depp is set to star in Day Drinker with Penélope Cruz and director Marc Webb.
