Tom Cruise Wants to Keep Making MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE Movies Until He's 80
Tom Cruise has no desire to slow down, the guy just loves to make movies and he loved to entertain audiences with the films that he makes. Cruise is 61 years old as Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One is about to be released, and he’s hoping to keep making these movies until he’s 80.
During a recent interview (via Sydney Morning Herald), Cruise was asked whether he wants to channel Harrison Ford in Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny and keep making movies until he’s 80, Cruise replied,
"Harrison Ford is a legend; I hope to be still going; I’ve got 20 years to catch up with him. I hope to keep making Mission: Impossible films until I’m his age."
I have no doubt that he’ll keep going and making these movies. The question is, when he does start getting into his 70s and 80s, will he continue doing those death-defying stunts!? Probably.
Director Christopher McQuarrie previously shared that he’s also open to continuing to make Mission: Impossible movies, as long as fans are enjoying it. I’ve got to say, Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One is my favorite film in the franchise. It’s just so damn good! So, if they keep making movies that are that high-quality of filmmaking, I’m going to keep showing up to watch them!
I hope that Cruise does continue to make these movies until he’s 80!
