Tom Hardy May Have Just Accidentally Confirmed Andy Serkis as Director of VENOM 2

Last week, we reported that three directors were in the running to direct Venom 2. Those directors are Travis Knight (Bumblebee), Rupert Wyatt (Rise of the Planets of the Apes), and Andy Serkis (Mowgli). While we still haven’t gotten an official word on who the director will be, Venom himself, Tom Hardy, may have just leaked the info.

In a since-deleted Instagram post, Hardy posted a picture of Andy Serkis. The weird part is that it’s not a photo of the two of them, or a candid shot on set. It’s like a nice, red carpet head shot of Serkis. Maybe Hardy is just a big fan! But for him to post it, then quickly take it down, it leads fans to believe that Serkis is now tied to the film, and Hardy is in trouble for leaking the news! Maybe Hardy is just throwing out his choice for what it’s worth, or maybe he’s just messing with fans! I guess we will find out soon enough.
