Tom Holland Says The Script For Marvel's SPIDER-MAN 3 is "Absolutely Insane"

Marvel fans are excited about the return of Spider-Man in the upcoming sequel to Homecoming and Far From Home. I’m especially looking forward to seeing how the character’s story is going to play out now that Peter Parker a.k.a. Spider-Man is a wanted man. There are so many directions that this story can go in, and in a recent interview with Tom Holland, he says that the script for the film is “absolutely insane.”

While speaking with Inquirer.Net, the actor also confirmed that the film will be shooting this summer, saying, "I’m super happy about it. We will be shooting 'Spider-Man 3' in July in Atlanta." He also confirmed that Zendaya will “definitely” be back as MJ, which was expected.

Holland doesn’t reveal any information on what the story will entail or what the status of his character’s relationship is with MJ. As for the other Marvel movies he’s supposed to show up in, he says, “I’m not sure as to what they want me to do.”

Jon Watts is returning to direct the sequel with a script being written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers. We don’t know how the story is going to play out, but there have been reports that Kraven the Hunter will appear in the story and head to New York City to hunt down Spider-Man. That hasn’t been confirmed, but I hope it’s true!

On a previous interview with Kevin Feige, he had this to say about the film:

“It’ll be fun to see Spidey back in his element, out of the shadow of Tony, out of the shadow of the other Avengers, as his own man now, as his own hero. And yet now facing his own challenges that aren’t coming from Avengers fighting, like [Captain America: Civil War], or aliens coming, like [Avengers: Infinity War] or [Avengers: Endgame]. It’s all Peter focused and Peter based.”

The third Spider-man movie is set to hit theaters on April 8th, 2022.
