Tom Holland's Peter Parker Spotted as Hawkeye in Marvel's WHAT IF...? Series Logo Treatment
Yesterday, we shared a report about Tom Holland’s Peter Parker possibly showing up as Hawkeye in Marvel’s upcoming animated series What If…? Each episode of the series will examine the past films included in The Infinity Saga, but each of the stories will feature one key difference showing how the story would have played out differently.
Some of the things we know the series will explore include T'Challa as Star-Lord; Zombie Captain America fighting Bucky Barnes; Peggy Carter as Captain Carter, Steve Rogers never getting the serum, and more stories that have yet to be revealed. You can check out some previously released footage here. It’s not too far-fetched to think that Tom Holland’s Peter Parker could be reimagined as Hawkeye in the series.
Now there’s proof of this! I was able to find a video that shows some footage that was previously shared from the teaser for the series that you can watch below. I took a screenshot from the logo treatment for the What If…? series, which is much like the Marvel Studios logo treatment that plays before each of there films.
As you can see, this certainly looks like the MCU version of Peter Parker all decked out as Hawkeye. If this is the case, it will be interesting to see how this alternate story will play out in the show!
The voice cast for the series includes Michael B. Jordan as Killmonger, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes, Josh Brolin as Thanos, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/The Hulk, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Hayley Atwell as Agent Peggy Carter, Chadwick Boseman as Black Panther, Karen Gillan as Nebula, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, Paul Rudd as Ant-Man, Michael Douglas as Hank Pym, Neal McDonough as Dum Dum Dugan, Dominic Cooper as Howard Stark, Sean Gunn as Kraglin, Natalie Portman as Jane Foster, Taika Waititi as Korg, Toby Jones as Arnim Zola, Djimon Hounsou as Korath, Jeff Goldblum as Grandmaster, and Michael Rooker as Yondu. The Watcher will be voiced by Jeffrey Wright.
Marvel Studios' What If...? is going to premiere on Disney+ in Summer 2021.
