New Trailer for Anne Hathaway and Jessica Chastain's Psychological Thriller MOTHERS' INSTINCT
NEON has released the trailer for a Hitchcokian psychological thriller titled Mother’s Instinct, which stars Academy Award winners Jessica Chastain and Anne Hathaway.
This looks like an extremely intense film and it’s based on the novel Derrière la Haine by Barbara Abel, and it’s also a remake of director Olivier Masset-Depasse’s 2018 French-language film.
The film is set in the early ’60s and in it, “Best friends and neighbors Alice (Chastain) and Celine (Hathaway) live an idyllic traditional lifestyle with manicured lawns, successful husbands, and sons of the same age.
“But life’s perfect harmony is suddenly shattered after a tragic accident. Guilt, suspicion, and paranoia combine to unravel their sisterly bond, and a psychological battle of wills begins as the maternal instinct reveals its darker side.”
The film comes from director Benoît Delhomme from a script written by Sarah Conradt (50 States of Fright).
The movie will be released in select theaters July 26 and on Digital August 13.
