Trailer For Another Bruce Willis Action Movie DETECTIVE KNIGHT: REDEMPTION

Bruce Willis may be retired, but there are still movies that he has shot that still haven’t been released. Today, the trailer has been released for one of these action thrillers, which is titled Detective Knight: Redemption.

This is actually the second film in a trilogy. The first film was released last month and it’s titled Detective Knight: Rogue. This new film actually looks better than I was expecting.

In this new film, Bruce Willis stars as Detective James Knight, “In custody in New York, Knight finds himself in the middle of a jailbreak led by The Christmas Bomber, a brutal fanatic whose Santa Claus disciples are terrorizing the city. With the promised return of his badge in exchange for taking out the terrorists, the steely-eyed Knight doles out mercy for the just… and merciless justice for all the rest.”

The movie was directed by Edward Drake (Animals, Broil, Cosmic Sin, Apex, American Siege, Gasoline Alley, and the first Detective Knight) and it also stars Lochlyn Munro, Corey Large, Miranda Edwards, Beau Mirchoff, and Paul Johansson.

I was recently talking to a filmmaker that has worked with Willis several times in the past few years before he retired. He was telling me that Willis loved working on these little low-budget action movies. He just loved working and he was always a joy to have on the set. He also told me that Willis felt that working kept his mind sharp and that he was super bummed out when he pulled the trigger on his retirement because he still wanted to keep working.

That was some interesting insight that I thought I’d share that I learned. It gave me a different perspective on things regarding Willis and his work.

Detective Knight: Rogue will be released in select theaters and on VOD starting December 9th, 2022.
