Trailer for Ethan Coen's Road Trip Comedy Caper DRIVE-AWAY DOLLS with Margaret Qualley, Pedro Pascal, and Matt Damon
Focus Features and Working Title have released the first trailer for Ethan Coen’s upcoming road trip crime comedy caper, Drive-Away Dolls. The movie stars Margaret Qualley, Pedro Pascal, Matt Damon, and Geraldine Viswanathan, and it looks like a fun flick!
The story centers on Jamie, “an uninhibited free spirit bemoaning yet another breakup with a girlfriend, and her demure friend Marian who desperately needs to loosen up. In search of a fresh start, the two embark on an impromptu road trip to Tallahassee, but things quickly go awry when they cross paths with a group of inept criminals along the way.”
If you’re a fan of the kinds of films that the Coen Bros. make, this is a movie that you’re sure to enjoy. Coen directed the film and wrote the script with Tricia Cooke. Coen has described the film as “filthy fun” and a “chase intrigue movie. In one word, it’s a comedy.” He added, “It’s that kind of movie where the plot is fun.”
Coen also talked about the cast of the film saying, “The actors sink their teeth into it and they just have fun with it, and they go to town with it.” When talking about Pascal in the movie Cooke said, “He’s fascinating to watch and his upward trajectory. Everyone was talking about him right after we finished shooting.”
The movie will be released on December 22nd.
