Trailer for FUZE Turns a World War II Bomb Scare Into the Perfect Cover for a Heist

A new trailer has dropped for Fuze, the upcoming thriller from David Mackenzie, the filmmaker behind the gripping modern western Hell or High Water.

This one trades dusty highways for the crowded streets of London and builds its tension around a situation that feels ripped straight out of a nightmare scenario.

An unexploded World War II bomb is discovered in the middle of a construction site, forcing a massive evacuation across the city. But while authorities scramble to contain the crisis, someone else sees an opportunity.

The film stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Theo James, Sam Worthington, and Gugu Mbatha-Raw, and the trailer teases a high-pressure story where chaos becomes the perfect distraction for a carefully orchestrated crime.

When workers uncover an unexploded WWII bomb in modern-day London, officials have no choice but to clear out huge sections of the city. Streets shut down, residents are pushed out of their homes, and tension spreads as bomb disposal teams race to secure the site.

That kind of citywide disruption would be overwhelming under normal circumstances. In Fuze, it becomes the ideal cover for a daring criminal operation.

As the evacuation unfolds, a meticulously planned heist begins to take shape in the shadows. While authorities focus on preventing disaster, another group moves forward with a plan designed to exploit the panic and confusion. Alliances start to shift, motives become harder to read, and every move raises the stakes.

That story promises a tense ensemble thriller, and Mackenzie has already proven he knows how to handle layered crime stories that keep audiences on edge.

The script for Fuze comes from Ben Hopkins, and the cast also includes Saffron Hocking and Elham Ehsas. Producing the film are Sébastien Raybaud, Callum Grant, Mackenzie, and Gillian Berrie.

The movie first premiered at the Toronto Film Festival in September, and it didn’t take long for distributors to jump on board. Roadside Attractions and Saban Films picked up the North American rights back in November.

Audiences won’t have to wait too long to see how this explosive setup plays out. Fuze is set to hit theaters on April 24.
