Trailer For The 4K Release of Wes Craven's A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET

Warner Bros is releasing a 4K Ultra HD version of Wes Craven’s horror classic A Nightmare on Elm Street, and they’ve released a trailer to promote it.

A Nightmare on Elm Street originally opened in November of 1984 and it's celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, which is wild! This is a movie I first watched it when I was a young pre-teen and it’s my favorite film in the franchise.

I will say, this movie scared the hell out of me when I first watched and I loved it for that!

The description for the film reads: “Can your nightmares be fatal? In this classic of the horror film genre that launched a movie franchise, a hideously scarred man who was murdered by a lynch mob returns years later in the terrifying nightmares of his killers' teenaged children...

“And the dreaming teenagers are starting to die in their sleep. Teenager Nancy Thompson must uncover the dark truth concealed by her parents after she and her friends become targets of the spirit of a serial killer with a bladed glove in their dreams, in which if they die, it kills them in real life.”

The movie stars Heather Langenkamp, John Saxon, Ronee Blakely, Amanda Wyss, Nick Corri, Johnny Depp, and Robert Englund as the horror icon Freddy Krueger.

The new release will include alternate endings, commentaries, and more. Warner Bros has re-released Craven's A Nightmare on Elm Street in 4K Ultra HD on VOD and on Blu-ray.
