Heather Langenkamp Still Wants to Return for One More A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET Movie
A Nightmare on Elm Street franchise star Heather Langenkamp is still hoping that one day she will get the opportunity to reprise her role as Nancy Thompson one more time in a Legacy sequel.
This is something that she’s been very vocal about in the past, and she once again makes it clear that she’s ready to face off with Freddy again.
During a recent Q&A she said: “In my imagination, I have several legacy sequels happening at the same time. She’s a great character. How could you say no?”
Langenkamp added: “I just need somebody to get that off the ground. Especially considering Nightmare on Elm Street part 7, Wes Craven’s New Nightmare. I do think there’s a lot of really great opportunities for new and excellent battles still to come.”
The actress previously addressed the matter, saying: “If Nancy could fight Freddy one last time, I would really like that. Gosh, I’d love to see a future in that. I’ve been really watching the Halloween saga that’s been out, and I love watching Jamie Lee Curtis get to play that part.
“You know, this age, where I think we have so much to give to those storylines, but yeah, I wish I was in control of that, but, unfortunately, it’s one of those Hollywood very complicated things.”
I would love to see Langenkamp return as Nancy and face off with Freddy again! There could be a really fun movie there with Nancy battling Freddy again.
There are a few filmmakers out there that have expressed interest in tackling a new A Nightmare on Elm Street movie like Mike Flanagan (Doctor Sleep) and Rob Savage (The Boogeyman).
I’m sure that one day we will see another Elm Street movie made, but we’ll just have to wait and see who will direct it and what that story will entail.
