Two of Peter Parker’s Classmates Cast in SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING

Marvel and director Jon Watts are in the process of filling out the cast for Spider-Man: Homecoming. We most recently learned that Michael Keaton was in talks to play the villain of the film and that villain could be Vulture.

Deadline is reporting that Tony Revolori (The Grand Budapest Hotel) has been cast as Peter Parker’s high school nemesis. He’s not a supervillain or anything, just kind of a bully at school. In another report, The Wrap reports that actress Laura Harrier (One Life to Live) has also joined the cast in a “significant role.”

The actors will join Tom Holland, Marisa Tomei as Aunt May, and actress/singer Zendaya who is taking on a key role in the story.

The upcoming film was written by John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein. It is set after the events in Captain America: Civil War, and it will focus on Peter Parker’s high school days. The film is also said to have a classic John Hughes movie feel to it.

The movie is set to be released on July 7th, 2017.
