UGLYDOLLS Casts Wanda Sykes and Gabriel Iglesias

We recently heard that Nick Jonas was joining the voice cast for the UglyDolls film, and now we have two more names for the cast: Wanda Sykes and Gabriel Iglesias. The film will be based on the toy line from David Horvath and Sun-Min Kim with this brief synopsis:

“Set in the adorably different town of Uglyville, the free-spirited Moxy and her UglyDolls friends confront what it means to be different, struggle with their desire to be loved and ultimately discover that you don’t have to be perfect to be amazing because who you truly are is what matters most.”

No release date is set, but you can expect it in 2019. If you want more UglyDolls, no worries, Hulu is working to create a kid series set in the same universe. This is going to be interesting. UglyDolls will be directed by Kelly Asbury with a script written by Horvath and Kim.
