UM, ACTUALLY Brings New Team in for Season 9 in Hilarious Trailer
It is no secret that I love Dropout. It’s possibly my favorite streaming service. One of the best series on the service in my opinion is the game show Um, Actually and we just got a trailer for the upcoming ninth season. This season will be a huge one too as Mike Trapp and Michael Saltzman are stepping down as host and fact checker respectively. Taking over are Ify Nwadiwe as host and Brian David Gilbert as fact checker. The way the new trailer announces the change is hilarious with a spoof on Doctor Who sprinkling in corrections to really make it their own.
The trailer also shows off very short clips from upcoming episodes of Um, Actually showing off some of the guests that fans can look forward to seeing. Trapp and Saltzman are among the list as well as Dropout veterans Grant O’Brien and Erika Ishii. I also noticed that Jordan Adika and Jarvis Johnson of Sad Boyz are in an episode. Other notable guests include Harvey Guillén (What We Do in the Shadows); Keith Habersberger and Zach Kornfeld from The Try Guys; and drag icons Jujubee, Monét X Change, Trinity the Tuck.
I’m a little sad to see Trapp and Saltzman leave their posts, but I think that they’ve chosen great successors and cannot wait for Um, Actually season nine! You can watch the trailer below and the first episode will be available to watch on Dropout starting February 27 with new episodes every other Tuesday.
