Uma Thurman Returns For DEXTER: RESURRECTION Season 2
Fans of Dexter: Resurrection have another big reason to be excited. Season 2 is already shaping up to raise the stakes, and now we know that Uma Thurman is officially coming back for more. Her character Charley made a strong impression in the first season, and her return hints that her story is not over.
Thurman will reprise her role as Charley, a former Special Ops officer who was working under Leon Prater, played by Peter Dinklage. By the end of Season 1, Charley had cut ties with Prater and left New York behind to care for her terminally ill mother. It’s good to know that her story is continuing.
Season 2 is already stacking up some serious talent. It was previously revealed that Brian Cox is joining the series as Don Framt, a figure known as the New York Ripper. That sets a dangerous tone for what’s coming next.
Michael C. Hall is also back as Dexter Morgan, still navigating his dark code in a world that keeps getting more complicated.
While Thurman is widely recognized for her film work, her TV credentials are nothing to overlook. She earned an Emmy nomination for her guest appearance in Smash and took home a Golden Globe for her role in the HBO film Hysterical Blindness.
Movie fans still associate her with Pulp Fiction, which earned her an Academy Award nomination, and her iconic collaboration with Quentin Tarantino in the Kill Bill films. More recently, she’s shown up in shows like Super Pumped and Suspicion, along with films including Oh Canada, Red, White, and Royal Blue, and Hollywood Stargirl.
Dexter: Resurrection comes from original Dexter creative force Clyde Phillips, who serves as showrunner and executive producer. Hall also executive produces.
Charley’s return opens up a lot of possibilities. She walked away from a dangerous situation last season, and whether she’s pulled back into the chaos or chooses to step into it herself, one thing is certain, Season 2 just got a lot more interesting.
