Vin Diesel Teases an Oscar Winning Actor Will Appear in FAST AND FURIOUS 9
I know we’ve got a whole year to wait before we will get to see F9 in theaters, but before that big announcement was made, Vin Diesel teased a “big surprise” that he thinks fans are going to love, leaving us in suspense. While promoting his new film Bloodshot, he opened up about the star-power that the Fast and Furious franchise has attracted. He was asked by ET which other Oscar-winning performers Diesel would like to see join the franchise and that’s when he said:
“There's a big surprise coming. I can't tell anyone, [But] it is so awesome.”
So it seems like there’s going to be another Oscar-winning actor appearing in F9. The question is… who is it?! I’m intrigued to see who they managed to land! Unfortunately, we won’t know who it is for another year. He went on to say:
“It's a testament to the franchise, it's a testament to all the work that everyone has done and it's a testament to the integrity. As a thespian, as someone who started acting when I was 7 years old, it's wonderful to dance with other acclaimed thespians and try to make magic.”
The film also stars Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Chris "Ludacris" Bridges, and Nathalie Emmanuel, who are all set to return to the franchise along with Charlize Theron as the villainous Cipher, and Helen Mirren will once again play Magdalene Shaw. John Cena plays Dom’s brother, Michael Rooker portrays a newcomer named Buddy, and Finn Cole, Sam Lerner, and Anna Sawai have been cast in unknown roles. Ben Stiller is also said to make an appearance.
F9 is set to be released in theaters on April 2nd, 2021. Who do you think this surprise actor could be?
