Warner Bros. and DC Are Reportedly Planning Harley Quinn's Next Movie with Margot Robbie
DC’s Birds of Prey received a lot of mixed reactions, and while the film didn’t make as much money as some of the other DC films, Warner Bros. isn’t done with Harley Quinn yet. She is set to appear in James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad, and now, according to DCEU Mythic, the studio has started discussing and planning the next film project for her. The site says:
In talking with multiple sources today I’ve learned that Warner has begun very early talks and discussions about what the next big screen Harley project will be. There’s absolutely no word yet on exactly what the project is, although I’m sure fans are crossing their fingers for Gotham City Sirens.
We know that Margot Robbie has been very keen on bringing Poison Ivy into the next film, so a movie like Gotham City Sirens would certainly make sense. Robbie previously said:
“I've been pushing a Poison Ivy reunion for a long time...Because obviously Ivy and Harley have such an incredible relationship, so I would love to explore that.”
I just hope that whatever they do with this next film, whatever story they tell, they bring in a talented creative team to make it. I just want to finally see Harley Quinn get the live-action movie she deserves. It’ll be interesting to see how James Gunn handles the character in The Suicide Squad. If anyone will get the character right, I think it’s him.
What would you like to see from another Harley Quinn movie?
