What Will Happen to Noah Hawley's DOCTOR DOOM After Disney/Fox Deal?

By now I’m sure you’ve heard the news that Disney has purchased and is in the process of obtaining parts of Fox that include the studios responsible for their superhero films. This has led many to question what would happen with the films already announced and in development. One such project that fans are curious about is the Doctor Doom movie that Noah Hawley (Legion, Fargo) announced at Comic-Con. When Hawley was asked about the status of that film by Collider, this was his response:

I haven’t had a single conversation yet about Doom in the context of the merger. On some level, we’re still looking at a period of time – probably a year, at the least – for this whole thing to go through. Who knows, corporately, what conversations will be had, but certainly, until it goes through, it’s not a legal thing. I don’t know. I’ve been waiting for the phone to ring to see if anyone is gonna have an opinion. Otherwise, it’s just business as usual for me.

I’m sure this is not an unusual answer right now from anyone involved in these films either. It sounds like Fox has decided to continue “business as usual” until the deal closes next year or until Disney and Marvel say something. It will definitely be interesting to see the transition unfold and how the movies are handled. Hopefully Disney won’t change things up too much with the current slate of films. How do you think this will pan out?
