Wild New Trailer for THE BOYS Spinoff GEN V Teases a Story That Is "a Tiny Bit F-ked"
Prime Video has a new trailer for The Boys spinoff series,Gen V, and this one actually offers our best look yet at the series and the F’d up story that it tells. The series is set in a superhero college, and as some of the new superhero students learn on their journey, there is some jacked-up stuff happening as they find that there are evil people who are a part of it. As you’ll see, things get pretty bonkers as the characters come to terms with the fact that they are all F’d up.
The project is inspired by the G-Men, which is a parody of the X-Men in The Boys comic book series. “Set at America’s only college exclusively for young-adult superheroes (run by Vought International), Gen V is an irreverent, R-rated series that explores the lives of hormonal, competitive Supes as they put their physical, sexual, and moral boundaries to the test, competing for the best contracts in the best cities. It’s part college show, part Hunger Games — with all the heart, satire, and raunch of The Boys.”
Producer Seth Rogen previously described Gen V as being “more shocking” and filled with all kinds of “really crazy shit.” This trailer offers a little taste of what some of that crazy shit is.
Gen V stars Jaz Sinclair (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina), Chance Perdomo (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina), Lizze Broadway (Bones), Shelley Conn (Bridgerton), Maddie Phillips (Teenage Bounty Hunters), London Thor (Shameless), Derek Luh (Shining Vale), Asa Germann (Caviar), Patrick Schwarzenegger (The Staircase), Sean Patrick Thomas (Barbershop), Marco Pigossi (Invisible City), and Clancy Brown.
The series comes from Eric Kripke, and it was also announced that it will launch with its first three episodes on September 29th. New episodes will roll out weekly until the Season 1 finale on November 3rd.
