Will Princess Leia Show Up in the Final Episode of STAR WARS: AHSOKA? Do You Think She Should?

There was a fun and unexpected cameo from a Star Wars legacy character in episode 7 of Star Wars: Ahsoka, which was titled “Dreams and Madness,” That cameo got fans talking about the possibility of seeing Princess Leia show up in the final episode of the season. If you haven’t watched “Dreams and Madness” yet, spoilers are ahead.

The episode starts with Mary Elizabeth Winstead's Hera at a military tribunal where she’s forced to answer for her decision to embark on a mission to save Ahsoka and Sabine from Baylan Skoll and Shin Hati. This whole thing is not going well for her, and the New Republic council is looking to court-martial her for her actions.

Just as they are about to move on the decision to discipline her, C-3PO shows up! He walks in interrupting the tribunal to deliver a message… a message from none other than Senator Leia Organa.

C-3PO actor Anthony Daniels returned to reprise the voice of the fan-favorite droid, which was pretty cool! Leia rebuked Senator Xiono for holding a vote without her, and in doing so protected Hera. C-3PO said: "Senator Organa is willing to overlook this misstep, but asks that you direct any further concerns to her directly in her role as leader of the Defense Council."

It was a great little moment. The question is, did this scene set up the return of Liea in the show’s big season finale!? This is what a lot of fans are speculating. A fan on Reddit said: "I just have this weird feeling we are gearing up for a big thing either in the next episode in the future of these shows – that thing being the return of Leia. It seems impossible to me to do things in this time without her, especially when stuff is happening with the New Republic. She has a history with most of these characters anyways and they have offhandedly mentioned her and now directly mentioned her and even had Threepio in this episode."

Another fan speculated that Leia will be played by a new actor who could then go on to play "a supporting role in the upcoming series and movies". Someone went on to say, "I would like to see her like they did in Rogue One if Billie Lourd and the like signed it off or just have someone new play the role.”

While a lot of fans would love to see Leia return, and one fan shared: "No reason for her to not make an appearance. It's getting silly. Star Wars without Luke, Leia, and Han doesn't feel quite like Star Wars. It's been too long."

So, I’ve got two questions for you… do you think Leia was set up to appear in the season finale of Ahsoka? The other question I have is do you think she should?

Moving forward with this storyline during this era, it would make sense to bring her back in at some point. Lucasfilm has already done it once, so I don’t think they’d have any reservations about doing it again. I just don’t know when it will happen. What do you think!?
